Whiteboards
Student view of the Whiteboard Area
The following screen will show you what the whiteboard looks like when a teacher is presenting.
There are times when you may want or need to have control or write (annotate) on the Whiteboard. To request these permissions, click on the appropriate option from the top of the Whiteboard as shown in the image below. If Annotate does not appear as shown in the image below your teacher needs to give you access.
Writing on or annotating on the Whiteboard
When you click on Annotate the following toolbar will appear.
Use this toolbar to write on the whiteboard. Test with the features that are available to you. The “Format” button allows you to change the color and size of your drawing (pen) tool.
Saving Whiteboards
To save a Whiteboard first you need to determine the format of the file you will save it as. To do this click on the dropdown arrow to the right of the word Save on the annotation toolbar and select from the choices shown. NOTE: it is best to save whiteboards as a pdf. See image below.
To save your whiteboard click on the word Save on the toolbar. NOTE: You will have to do this for each whiteboard you want to save.
A small message will appear just below the toolbar as shown below. Click on Show in Folder to see where your whiteboard is saved. Take note of this location as you will most likely need it later.
When you click on Show in Folder a new screen appears showing you where your saved whiteboard is located.
Accessing Saved Whiteboards
Now that you have saved your whiteboards you can access them by going back to the location where they are saved (see pic below).
