Service Delivery Model

Introduction to SDM Online

The Service Delivery Model for Students with Exceptionalities (2012)
is a collaborative project between all divisions of the K-12 Branch of the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education. It is a tool which describes the continuum of programming available for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 who meet the criteria for an exceptionality as defined by the Department of Education. The province's move to a more inclusive philosophy is reflected in the educational options available to students with exceptionalities.

This site is a source for ongoing professional learning around the inclusive service delivery model as well as a repository of information, guidelines, and record forms. The site has been organized by topic in order to allow educators to reference or explore particular aspects of the information provided.

Choosing a video clip will display a side menu with links to related sections of the document and associated activities. The articles referenced in some of the professional learning activities are not available online because of copyright restrictions. These articles are accessible in English on the data disc distributed to principals of all Newfoundland and Labrador public schools as part of the Service Delivery Model for Students with Exceptionalities Professional Learning Package: Fall 2011.
