H5P

H5P is a free content collaboration framework which aims to make it easy for everyone to create, share and reuse interactive HTML5 content. Interactive videos, presentations, quizzes, timelines and more, can easily be created.

CDLI’s H5P environment is hosted here https://nlesd.h5p.com/. If you wish to have an Instructor account, please submit a help ticket. Your credentials will be the same as your CDLI portal login.  

Creating H5P Objects

1. First log into https://nlesd.h5p.com/. Your credentials will be the same as your CDLI portal login.
2. Create/select your course from the folder list.
3. Select Add Content.

4. Select the type of object you wish to create – currently there are more than 50 different types. Click Details to view a description and Use to select that content type.

5. Most objects have a Tutorial and Example
6. When you have completed your object select Save.

Adding H5P activity to Brightspace course

1. Go to your Brightspace course and open the lesson page in Edit mode.

2. Select Insert Stuff icon from the menu.

3. Select H5P and navigate to the desired activity.

4. Click Insert.

5. This will load a Preview. Click Insert.

6. Click Save.
