Set up Corel Draw
Start the program
- Start Corel Draw. If it is the first time you've started it,
you may get a message saying it was unable to register components.
Ignore it and click Ok. It will not affect operation.
- You will see a screen giving you several choices. Click
on Start a New Project
Set up Page Parameters
Next you will set a number of parameters so that creating a document
layout is easy and fast. You will save the settings as a document
that you can use over and over, as often as you want. Don't click on OK
until you have completed all the changes. Read the following, then
watch the video to see how to perform the steps. Click the help
button for info on video features.

The ruler is used to measure the location of things on the page. It
can be set in a variety of units of measure. By default, Corel Draw is
set to millimeters.
You will set it to inches.
- Set up Grids and Guidelines
Grid is used to accurately align objects on the page. It
can be set to any size you wish. With Snap to Grid on, you can
place objects very precisely.
You will set the grid to 8 divisions per inch
You will set Snap to Grid on
Guidelines are blue lines you place onscreen to visually align
things. They do not print. You can add them and delete
them.

- Set up Duplicates and Nudge
The duplicate setting determines when a duplicated object will be
placed.
Set Duplicates to 0.25 inches horizontal and 0.25 inches vertical
Nudge is a feature that allows you to move a selected object with
the cursor (arrow) keys. It will move by the amount set here.
Set Nudge to 0.01
Select File, Save As
Open My Documents
Make a new folder and rename it printtemplates
Open the folder printtemplates
Save the file with the name printtemplate
Close the program and go to Step 2
