Chapter Project: Mathematical Art Exhibit

This illustration is related to question #5(d). The diagram shows that if you make a rectangle where the length and width are consecutive units, the number of squares in the rectangle must be even. One way to show "even" is to show that the squares can be paired up. A visual is created where the bottom half replicates the top half. This makes it clear that there must be an even number of squares.
