Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Integrated Student Loans Program

You're moving towards a post-secondary education and you need money to help pay for your studies.

While a number of options are available, through a variety of sources, the majority of high school graduates pay for their post-secondary education through federal and provincial student loans and grants. Let's take a brief look at the essentials and feasibility of using the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Integrated Student Loan Program as the main resource for funding a post-secondary education.

Student loans and grants are meant to be a supplement to what you and you're your parents (if applicable) can contribute towards your education. The federal and provincial governments allow students to receive a maximum of $350 per week for full-time study through loans and grants. This equates to about $6000 per typical semester for maximum borrowing. You are responsible for tuition, books, living expenses, travel and other costs so you need to make sure that you're aware that sometimes with high tuition and other costs, student loans and grants may not be enough.
