Saving for your Education

Some students save for their post-secondary studies by working part-time while they are in high school and/or working full-time during the summer. Your parents may also have some money saved for you. This is the best way to fund part or your entire program as you don't have to pay back anything. There is no interest to repay on money that you contribute.

You need to analyze the money that you make while you're working and see where you can cut costs and save for your education. A good place to look is the Consumer Issues for the Young.

If you plan on getting a student loan, money that you make during the summer is considered when you apply for funding.
