Introduction
        Section 01 has the following components 
        
        - the evolution of media as a means of expressing ideas through audio and visual means 
 
          - the evolution of multimedia as a means of simultaneously employing two or more forms of media as a means of enhancing meaning 
 
          - media convergence, or the use of a common form of encoding information from all media types, allowing seamless integration of different media 
 
          - digital multimedia, or the integration of different forms of digital media into a single media presentation 
 
          - web-based multimedia as a ubiquitous means of designing and distributing complex, media-rich content 
 
        
Prerequisites
        To be successful in this lesson, it would be helpful to know the following: 
        
        - how to conduct web-based research 
 
          - Unit 2, graphic design and web-page design
