Introduction
Document design is the process of creating and organizing content such that is clear, easy to read, well-organized and visually interesting. This section has the following components:
- Page layout, or the application of visual design to the organization of images and text on a page through the use of a mock-up
- Document layout, or the application of content organization, and visual design to the organization of content in a multi-page document through the use of a mock-up
- Traditional publishing, or the tools and methods used historically (before desktop publishing) to print document containing multiple text and image components, and the basics or manual compositing
- Desktop publishing, or the use of computer software to digitally composite documents containing multiple text and image components
