In this lesson you will

• identify the principles of visual design and describe their characteristics
• create images to illustrate the principles of visual design

Students will:

• understand the basics of visual design
• employ the elements and principles of visual design in creating images, and to construct print and web layouts
• use typography effectively
• use illustration software to create effective page layouts

Prerequisites

To be successful in this lesson, it would be helpful to know the following:

• elements of visual design
