Outcomes

In this part you will

• learn the basic functions of FrontPage
• run FrontPage
• configure start-up options
• create a default web to store your webs

Students will

• configure default settings in FrontPage
• work through a series of skill-building activities in FrontPage
• create a course portfolio web from a template
• create a design activity portfolio web from a template

Introduction

This project has the following purposes

• introduce Microsoft FrontPage and configure default settings for work in Communications Technology
• build introductory capability in using FrontPage
• provide the knowledge and skills necessary to set up and commence data entry in the Course Portfolio that will be used to record Unit work activities, projects, and other assignments done in the course
• provide the knowledge and skills necessary to set up and commence data entry in the Design Portfolio that will be used with the major design activity for the course

As the project is entirely activity based, there is no Test Yourself component to any of the parts

Prerequisites

To be successful in this part, it would be helpful to know the following:

• How to use program menus and other features
• How to work with folders and files
