Investigation 10: Graphing the Slope Function

• To determine over which intervals a function is increasing and/or decreasing, its graph is always read from left to right.
•  If the graph of a function rises from left to right, it is said to be increasing.
•  If the graph falls from left to right, it is said to be decreasing.
