Shapes of Polynomial Functions

1. 0 = x² - x - 6 
    0 = (x - 3)(x + 2)
    x = 3, -2              There are 2 different real roots.

2. 0 =  x² - 6x + 9  
    0 = (x - 3)(x - 3)
    x = 3, 3              There are 2 equal real roots. We can say that 3 is a double
                               root.
