Length of major and minor axes

The transformational form for the equation of an ellipse with centre at ( h , k ), horizontal stretch of r, and vertical stretch of t is:

The length of the horizontal axis of the ellipse will be 2r and the length of the vertical axis will be 2t. Whichever one is longer is the major axis.
