Investigation 3: Parallel and Perpendicular Lines (GSP Method)

Once you have started to investigate the different positions of the segments, the diagram may get messed up. If it does, to return to the original screen you started with, simply press r. This will restore the screen to the original diagram.

When you are finished with the investigation, simply close the window and you will be returned to this page.

When you open the window, drag G until the segments are perpendicular (that is make ÐDHG = 90°) and record the relation between the product of the slopes. Move the segment to a new location by dragging C or D and repeat the investigation. Click here to open this window.
