During this unit of study two projects are presented for your consideration. If time permits it would be to your advantage to do both; however, your teacher may assign only one of the projects and/or give you a choice.
As each part is introduced it should be completed in its entirety such that it can be submitted, if requested, at the end of the unit or any time during the unit for evaluation.

Your first step is to determine which of the two projects you wish to undertake. Take a few minutes to read about both, then decide. Whichever project you undertake, the intent is to incorporate various circle properties such as diameters, chords, radii, arcs, concentric circles, etc. into the design. You might consider discussing the project with the art teacher, if there is one, in your school. If you are doing an art or design class, you may wish to use this as a project for both classes.

At this point you should make a rough sketch of your logo or flower garden design. You may wish to show it to other students or teachers at your school to get their reaction about its artistic appeal and whether you have incorporated circles effectively in your design.

When you have your preliminary sketch completed, prepare it for presentation to your teacher it may be requested at any time during the progress of the chapter.
