You have a number of options to calculate the average speed as the trip progressed

• you could use total distance and total time
• you could calculate for each ten minute period 
• you could calculate for different time intervals

Make sure you consider the Think About question on the side bar (p.76).

As implied in the procedure, draw a graph of distance traveled versus time for the given information.
