Overview
This unit consists of three sections as follows:
Section 01 Rational Algebraic Expressions
Rational algebraic expressions are fractions in which the numerator and or denominator are algebraic expressions. Just like your work on numerical fractions in Unit 01 of this course, you will reduce these expressions to lowest terms, add, subtract, multiply, and divide them. Then you will apply these skills to complex fractions. You will also solve equations which contain rational algebraic expressions.
Section 02 Rearranging Formulas
You will consider many different formulas and learn how to rearrange them to make any one of the variables in them the subject of the formula. You will then use these skills to rewrite functions of two or more variables as functions of one variable.
Section 03 Review
As the title implies, this section provides review material for the unit.
