FAQ: What is Blackboard Collaborate?

Home » FAQ » BBC » What is Blackboard Collaborate?

Blackboard Collaborate, formerly known as Elluminate Live, is software designed to allow teachers and students to collaborate in real time. It is used during synchronous class time where the teacher meets with students to interact. It is the students’ online classroom. This is where direct instruction/interaction takes place between the e-Teacher and students. CDLI teachers deliver the curriculum mainly through this method and monitor student interaction, participation and progress in real time. If a student has a scheduled “on-line” class, they should be in Blackboard Collaborate interacting with their teacher.
