CDLI is pleased to highlight Grace Tuglavina, a Level III student who attends Lake Melville School in North West River and is currently enrolled in Physics 2204 with CDLI.
Grace leads a busy life as both a student and a volunteer. She has excelled in science fairs in recent years, and won a bronze medal at the National Science fair as a member of Science Team NL, a first for Labrador and the first time for a student competing at the new virtual science fair for the Labrador, Western and Central Newfoundland region. Grace has been awarded the Cenovus Indigenous Scholarship and the Marine Institute Award, and will be featured in their Ocean Technology Journal. Outside of academics, Grace has been a member of the school’s volleyball, cross country and badminton teams for 5 years. She has also been a member of both the Student Council and the School Council for 4 years. Grace is actively involved in volunteer work, mentoring the school’s junior volleyball team, the Trappers’ Running Club, volunteering for Nunatsiavut, and a member of the festival committee.
Grace has plans to attend Memorial University in the fall to begin a Bachelor of Science degree.
CDLI would like to congratulate Grace on all of her hard work and accomplishments!
