Anna Corbett - SSNL Student Athletic Program Volunteer of the Year

CDLI would like to congratulate Anna Corbett, a Grade 12 student at Cape John Collegiate! Anna is currently enrolled in Chemistry 3202 with CDLI.
Anna is being recognized as a recipient of the 2025–2026 SSNL Student Athletic Program Volunteer of the Year Award, one of only two presented each school year. The award recognizes well-rounded student athletes who are devoted to their academic success and demonstrate dedication to their school’s athletic program and fellow student athletes. Anna’s extensive involvement in school athletics includes coaching junior varsity teams in volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and ball hockey, as well as serving as an SSNL PN Unplugged Leader, assisting with SSNL scorekeeping, and working as an NLVA Level 1 Volleyball Referee.
Anna has also earned numerous other awards and achievements. She is a Shad Dalhousie 2026 alumna and a recipient of the 2026 Research Inspired Student Enrichment (RISE) Award. Her athletic accomplishments include SSNL Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Most Sportsmanlike Player (MSP) awards, as well as the Cape John Collegiate Athlete of the Year Award. In addition, Anna was named to the Top Ten at the Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Leadership Program 2026.
Anna is highly involved in extracurricular activities at Cape John Collegiate. She participates in Senior Girls Volleyball, Senior Girls Softball, Senior Girls Ball Hockey, Senior Table Tennis, and Senior Badminton. She is also involved with the Student Council and the Leadership Committee and is the founder of her school’s Crochet Club.
Beyond her involvement in school athletics, Anna serves as a Tutoring for Tuition tutor and is active in her community. She volunteers with the La Scie Recreation Committee and is a volunteer leader with Kids For Christ (KFC), a local children’s church program. She also volunteered for the 2026 NL Summer Games.
Outside of her many school, athletic, and community commitments, Anna enjoys crocheting, reading, and sports.
After high school, Anna plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). Her long-term goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner (NP), specializing in pediatric care.
Anna’s accomplishments reflect her extensive involvement in athletics, leadership, volunteering, and her community. We congratulate Anna on receiving the 2025–2026 SSNL Student Athletic Program Volunteer of the Year Award and wish her continued success as she pursues her future goals!
