CDLI is delighted to shine its Student Spotlight on Haley House. Haley is a Level III student at French Shore Academy.

Haley is currently enrolled in Biology 3201, Chemistry 3202, Math 3200, and Calculus 3208 with CDLI.

Haley has been selected to represent [Central/Western] Newfoundland and Labrador at the National Science Fair in Edmonton, Alberta. Haley received this honor after being awarded the Gold Medal and placing first at the Regional Science Fair for her project, The Effect Music has on Memory.

The Valedictorian of her graduating class and the Student Council President at French Shore Academy, Haley is a very active young citizen. She enjoys volunteering time in her school and community, helping out at the sports complex and participating in the Newfoundland Indigenous People’s Alliance. Eclectic in her interests, Haley is an athlete, musician, and thespian. She enjoys playing volleyball and softball, participating in her school’s Drama club, and listening to and playing music. She enjoys singing as well as playing many instruments, including the guitar and the fiddle. In Drama Club this year, Haley has put on her directorial hat for the very first time, serving as the director for French Shore Academy’s school play.

After completing her high school diploma, Haley will embark on post-secondary study at Trent University (Peterborough, ON), where she plans to complete the Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science (B.Sc.F.S.) program.

We at CDLI are very proud of Haley and her accomplishments. We know that she will continue to shine in her future endeavors. Way to go, Haley!
