In November, Jamie Lynn took part in the Miss Achievement Newfoundland and Labrador Scholarship Program. She exclaimed that “this program was an amazing character building experience.” Jamie Lynn made it to the top 3 for talent and received the Healthy Living Award. She completed a fitness test along with a written test. Jamie Lynn was also awarded the Isabella Ashley Spirit of Giving Award for fundraising the most money for the Ronald McDonald house. She was able to fundraise $3,849.45 through her hard work and dedication. This program gave her the opportunity to challenge herself. She walked away with impressive awards in addition to the greatest asset which is more confidence in herself and her abilities.
Jamie Lynn is an all-around success at her school in St. Lawrence. She is the President of the graduation committee and a part of the executive for Allied Youth post 989. She is a dedicated member of various sports teams which include outdoor soccer, softball, volleyball, indoor soccer, ball hockey, basketball, cross country and the running group. She has been a member of the school’s Drama Troupe for the past six years. Jamie Lynn participates in the Lion's Club Speakouts and has won first place for the past two years. She is a community volunteer at a number of places such as the local hospital, library and senior’s home.
She has perseverance. Jamie Lynn, although challenged by a reading disability, has through her hard work and dedication kept at the top of her class. She has many academic accomplishments including awards for Dedicated Student and Teacher's Choice. She has received first place for academic excellence a number of times throughout high school. Jamie Lynn also attained various certificates for the achievement of the highest grade for a wide range of courses including but not limited to subjects such as Math, Science, Chemistry and Biology.
Jamie Lynn is currently completing Chemistry 3202 with CDLI. Her plans for September 2016 are to attend the Center of Nursing Studies in St. John’s. St. Lawrence Academy and CDLI congratulate Jamie Lynn on her impressive accomplishments.
