Shell Lake Legion War Memorial

Shell Lake, Saskatchewan

The Legion War Memorial was built by the Shell Lake Legion #15 in 1931. The cross was made by Mr. Charles Cutting. The stone used in the base of the Memorial was collected from the land of those who gave their lives in World War I (1914-1918). Mr. Harry Evans and Mr. Ted Taylor were two of the soldiers who failed to return.

The Memorial overlooks the Lake that bears it's name, Memorial Lake, as well as the Village of Shell Lake.
