Midnight Lake District Memorial

 

 
Midnight Lake District, Saskatchewan

The Memorial was constructed in 1922 by the Great War Veterans Association in memory of those who lost their lives in World War I. At a later date tributes to the men who lost their lives in World War II were added.

The inscription on the Memorial reads:

"In memory of the following members
of the
Midnight Lake District
who gave their lives
in the cause of freedom

World War I - 1914-1918
Richard Broadhead Reginald Brown
John Cole William Davis
Robert Dobson James Fanning
William Kerr Napoleon Nault

World War II - 1939-1945
Roald Gunderson James Kellogg

..At the going down of the sun, and in the morning we will remember them."
