Heritage Park, Kennedy, Saskatchewan.
Constructed
in September, 1977, and dedicated in September,
1981 (dedication delayed for various reasons).
Constructed in memory of the Veterans of WWI,
WWII, and the Korean War.
This monument was built of stone gathered
locally. The builder was Eugene Istace, a local
farmer. Ceremonies were to be held entirely
outdoors at the cenotaph but the unveiling took
place during a terrific rainstorm. During these
storms, the ceremonies were held indoors at the Kennedy
Legion Hall.
