Kelliher and District Cenotaph

Kelliher, Saskatchewan

The Kelliher and District Cenotaph was constructed in 1919 in memory of those who gave their lives in the war.

The base of the Cenotaph is made of concrete with a marble point. Every Remembrance Day they have a wreath laying with a short ceremony. The Village of Kelliher takes responsibility for the upkeep of the Cenotaph. With assistance of the local Legion Branch, a brass plaque with the names of those who lost their lives was installed. Originally the names were carved in the Cenotaph, however the weather took it's toll over the years.
