Central Butte Monument

Central Butte, Saskatchewan

Prior to 1974 Central Butte did not have a monument and the Legion would lay wreaths at the Cross at the Veterans plot in Central Butte Cemetery. In 1974 a stone monument was built and services of Remembrance have since been held there. The monument is located in the centre of downtown, at the corner of Main and 2nd Avenue. The bronze plaque on the monument reads:

IN GRATEFUL REMEMBERANCE
OF OUR COMRADES
WHO MADE
THE SUPREME SACRIFICE
IN THE
TWO WORLD WARS
AND IN KOREA

CENTRAL BUTTE LEGION
No. 213
