Constructed in 1950 in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice 1914-1918, 1939-1945.

Plans for the construction of the memorial were mentioned in the February 27, 1947 edition of the Markham Econ's Sun, in an article titled "Township Veterans Receive Their Gifts".
