The Toronto Cenotaph was erected in memory of those who lost their lives in World War I, World War II and the Korean Conflict. The granite Cenotaph, located on Eglinton Ave., was designed by W.H. Smith Monuments.

The inscription on the Monument reads.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN LOVING MEMORY
OF THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE
TOWNSHIP OF YORK WHO GAVE
THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY
IN THE CAUSE OF
FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY
1914-1918
1939-1945
1950
1953
