This memorial was constructed in 1952 in memory of the service personnel of World War I and World War II from Windsor and Essex County who gave their today for our tomorrow.
The memorial is located in Dieppe Gardens. It was erected by the Windsor Chapter Remembrance Association Silver Cross Women of Canada.
The base of the monument was replaced in 1962 by the Air Force Club in Windsor due to deterioration. The memorial also had to be refaced due to vandalism. This was financed by the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service Committee.
