Dedicated in 1978, in memory of the war dead of Malton.

On Saturday, November 4th, 1978, the Cenotaph Committee of the Malton Branch 528 of the Royal Canadian Legion unveiled this monument dedicated to the war dead of Malton and surrounding areas. The Cenotaph is located in Wildwood Park, fronting Derry Road, just a stone's throw from the CF-100 aircraft monument (see pictures below). The aircraft monument was erected in 1974 and is also the product of dedication, time and effort from the Malton Legion.
