Ingersoll Honour Roll

Ingersoll, Ontario

The Ingersoll Honour Roll was erected on November 11, 1999, in memory of those who served in World War I, World War II and the Korean Conflict.

The Town of Ingersoll and Branch 119 Royal Canadian Legion formed a Committee to design and construct a new Honour Roll to commemorate those who served in the World Wars, the Korean Conflict and those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The existing Honour Roll was in need of repairs.

The new memorial was constructed with four individual granite slabs with a polished black granite centre column. Almost 1300 names are etched into the slabs and the centre column recognizes the four services, with etched drawings and logos.

The monument is located just outside the Town Centre, Library/Administration Building. The full cost of the Honour Roll was paid for by donations from over 120 people and organizations.
