Hurondale Memorial Cenotaph

Usborne Township, Ontario

The War Memorial was erected to pay tribute to those men, who offered their lives, to serve in World War I (1914-1918). This was one of the first Memorials to be built, and placed, in Western Ontario.

In 1967, Canada's Centennial year, this Monument was moved, as part of a centennial project, to the north west corner, of the Usborne Central School property, with cooperation, and help of R.E. Pooley Branch #167 of the Royal Canadian Legion. A Community Remembrance Day Service, is held by the Royal Canadian Legion at the Memorial every year on November 11.
