Ambassador Park Memorial

Windsor, Ontario

This monument was constructed shortly after World War I in memory of the men from Sandwich who gave their lives for humanity in the Great War and in honour of those who, daring to die, survived.

In 1980 the concrete base was rebuilt and there was brick work done after that. In 1993 a plaque was added to the back of the memorial. The monument was re-dedicated on November 11, 1993.

Picture and information taken from "The War Memorials of Windsor, Ontario" booklet 1996.
