Rexton, New Brunswick Constructed in memory of "Our Fallen Comrades". The Cenotaph was constructed in 1979 and funding was provided by the Rexton Lions' Club on a site across from the Medical Clinic. It was relocated to the Rexton Municipal Park and re-dedicated with an unveiling ceremony. This monument includes a memorial plaque for the Merchant Marines who lost their lives in action. The plaque was donated by Mr. Joe Watson, originally from Bathurst, N.B. Funding for maintenance was provided by the Rexton Municipality and the Lions' Club.
