Perth-Andover Cenotaph
 

 
Perth-Andover, New Brunswick

Constructed in 1958 in memory of local men and women who died in both World Wars and the Korean Conflict.

The Cenotaph is constructed of a six-foot high block of black granite in the centre with a four-foot square of black granite on each side. The following list of names is inscribed thereon:

It was designed by then Legion President, Duncan M. Tomlinson, and Donald Hollins, both WWII Veterans. Alex Thompson, Barney Armstrong and Harry Carpenter served with them on the Cenotaph Committee.

It is situated on a one hundred by one hundred foot lot in front of the Memorial Arena, and cost approximately $5,000.00. The stone itself cost $2,500.00. Most of the material and labour were donated.

The November 11th Armistice Services are held there each year.

It is maintained by the Members of Perth-Andover Branch #36, Royal Canadian Legion.
