Soldier's Memorial Monument |

Dorchester, New Brunswick
Constructed in the Spring of 1925. The monument rests on a concrete base 7 1/2 feet square with a second concrete base 5 1/2 feet square and a granite
base 4 1/2 feet square and 4 1/2 feet high. It contains the names of the soldiers from Dorchester Parish who
were killed in the war. On the front of the shaft are the words "In Memory of our Heroic Dead" between which is
carved a wreath with the words "Faithful unto Death". Underneath on the left lower corner of the face of the monument
is the date "1914" and on the right, the date "1918". Mounted on the shaft is the figure of a soldier, standing at ease
with a rifle in his hands.
