Women's Tri Service Memorial

Winnipeg, Manitoba

The Women's Tri Service Memorial was constructed in 1976 in memory of the contribution of Women to the Commonwealth Armed Forces in the First and Second World War. The 1.83m monument depicts women of the three former services standing back to back.

Flown to Winnipeg by a Canadian Forces Hercules transport aircraft in early June 1976, the sculpture was bronzed at Studio West foundry in Cochrane, Alberta. The Memorial was later rededicated by Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II.

The Monument was created by sculptor Mrs. Helen Granger Young.
