The War Memorial was dedicated in 1921 in memory of the Veterans of World War I. It was later re-dedicated in memory of the Veterans of World War II who gave their lives for our country. Also it commemorates those who served in Korean War.
The memorial was erected jointly by the Town of Morden and Rural Municipality of Stanley at a cost of $8000.00. The architects were S. Scott and A.G. Selley of Morden. The sculptor was The Western Stone Co., St. Boniface. The base stone and spire are of Ax Stanstead granite and the two dies are of ebony granite. The total height is 26 ft.
