Basswood Cenotaph

Basswood, Manitoba

After World War I, the people of Basswood and District remembered those who had lost their lives in the service of King and Country by inscribing their names on a War Memorial Cenotaph erected in the centre of the village. Following World War II the names of those from the District who lost their lives were added to the Memorial.

Throughout the years the Legion members have faithfully cared for the cenotaph.
