Duncan, British Columbia
The memorial cairn on Mt. Prevost was erected in 1929 in memory of those who had fallen in World War I. Later, a
second plaque was installed for those fallen in World War II. The memorial is constructed of granite and is over
ten metres tall. Because of its size and location, it is visible from nearby highways.
There are several view points on the way up to the cairn, and those who do travel up to Mt. Prevost Memorial Park
will have a spectacular view of Vancouver Island.
