Cenotaph - Vulcan

Vulcan, Alberta

In 1945, the ground was prepared and, the following year, trees, shrubs and grass were planted. The next year saw the rock wall constructed along with the pillars and capstones. Flowers were planted at the same time. A short time later the Canadian Legion erected the cenotaph, a memorial to the many men who died during the two World Wars.

A memorial was also established at the Vulcan Legion.
