Redwater Cenotaph

Redwater, Alberta

Constructed in 1958 in memory of the WWI, WWII and Korean veterans who have given their lives in defence of their country.

The Cenotaph has three sides with three placards and a double cement base. It is about seven feet tall. Each November 11, it is used by the Redwater community for Remembrance Day services.

During World War II, three men from the Redwater locality lost their lives - Newt Hanen, Anton Begory, and Paul Stephan.
