World War II Service Memorial (Medicine Hat)

This memorial was constructed in 1969 in memory of the men and women of Medicine Hat and District who served in World War II.

The memorial is constructed of black marble with four figures on the front. The inscription on the memorial:

DEDICATED
TO THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS
OF MEDICINE HAT AND DISTRICT
WHO SERVED
THEIR MAJESTIES FORCES
TO PRESERVE THE FREEDOM
WHICH WE AND OTHERS ENJOY

DONATED AND ERECTED BY THE
CITIZENS OF MEDICINE HAT
OCTOBER 26, 1969

The memorial was dedicated by Legion Padre Archdeacon J.W. Carter.

The location of the memorial is the south side Medicine Hat Library on the 4 Ave. and 1 St. S.E.-N.W. corner.
