Delburne War Memorial

 

 
Delburne, Alberta

The Delburne War Memorial was erected in 1931 by an early settler Andy Bathgate. Andy was a stone mason by trade and a veteran of World War I.

The marble cross on top of the monument was donated by the Masonic Lodge of Delburne, Cavell Lodge # 125.

This Monument was unveiled November 8th, 1931, by Lieut. Col. Speakman M.P. The dedication was given by Reverend William Griffiths R.C.F.

The Legion building was enlarged in 2000.

Erected to the glory of those who fell.
