Solving Quadratic Equations: Factoring When a = 1

Description

The basics of factoring are taught here in this e-learning clip. Four examples are shown to help explain how to factor quadratic equations when a = 1. The common phase of "what two numbers add to c and multiply to b" is introduced in this clip. Also, the terminology of finding the roots of the equation, finding the zeros of the function, and solving for x are in these examples.
