Faults and Folds

Description

This video focuses on the different types of faults and folds caused by tensional, compressional and shearing forces. Dip-slip faults include; normal, reverse, and thrust faults. Strike slip faults are more often referred to as transform faults. Horst and graben structures form when blocks of Earth is bounded by normal faults. Folding results when compressional faults cause the Earth to bend plastically. A sample question is included at the end.
