Description

This video focuses on how plate tectonics influence society. Effects of plate tectonics can be both negative and positive. Natural hazards are often caused by tectonic activity, such as, earthquakes, volcanoes, and Tsunamis. Plate tectonics have also proved to be beneficial to society in that tectonics were responsible for the formation of different resources like fossil fuels, mineral deposits and geothermal activity to mention a few.
