Description

This video focuses on plate movement during a time greater than 200 million years ago. Earth’s plates have cycled into supercontinents and apart many times in the past. The most predominant is perhaps the supercontinent formed approximately one billion years ago called Rodina. All supercontinents consist of one main part called the craton which other lithospheric pieces attached through a process called accretion.
